What is the open time (pot life) of grafted CR adhesive 267H?
267H has a recommended bonding window of 3–5 minutes after coating, at 25°C and 60% RH. The exact open time varies with substrate porosity and ambient humidity — porous substrates (suede, brushed leather) shorten it to ~3 minutes; smooth rubber sheet may stretch to 6–7 minutes. Bond pressure should be applied while the film is still slightly tacky to the back of the hand; once it skins over and feels dry, re-activate with infrared heat (60–80°C, 5–10s) before pressing. Mixed glue (with R768 hardener at 5%) has a pot life of approximately 4–6 hours in the tin before viscosity build makes it unworkable.
